Some months ago, the District leadership requested that District 5010’s Council of Governors consider how Rotary in Alaska might better connect with a variety of business and professional groups, such as Alaska Native corporations, with whom strengthened relations would be appropriate.  The reasons included both better, non-duplicating cooperation to better our communities and our state, as well as broadening Rotary’s membership in Alaska business and professional groups.  The Council of Governors consists of all Past District Governors and contains a wealth of experience.

Below is the link to their report.   The summary contains general framework suggestions.  As it is an advisory, not operational, group, the COG wanted to provide information in a way so that district leadership could determine the next step, for example, to provide an adaptable framework to help clubs develop their own action plans.

We hope that their report will provide a variety of useful suggestions for Alaska’s Rotary clubs.
